Water waste at the faucet is a really big problem

We use more than 3.5B gallons of water every day at the faucet in the US.  It is estimated that up to two-thirds of that water to be wasted down the drain while leaving the faucet on between washing dishes, preparing food  brushing teeth, shaving, etc...

We believe this water waste happens

It is more than enough water to provide the recommended daily consumption of 120oz to 1.6B people each day.  That is almost 5 days worth of drinking water for every person in the United States of America.

Reducing water waste at the faucet could save 5.4M tons of CO2 every year.  This CO2 is produced through processing and delivery steps like transportation, treatment, and heating or cooling of the water use in our home.  This level of CO2 emission is the yearly equivalent to more than a million cars on the road.

We still have to pay for all that water which goes right down the drain.  Each year we spend upwards of $14.5B on fresh, clean drinking water that gets wasted at the sink.  How many ways can you think to better
