Principle Faucets Co. (“Principle Faucets”) warrants to the original purchaser or home owner during original installation of a Principle Faucets product that, subject to the terms, conditions, limitations, and exclusions set forth below, the product will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service during the applicable warranty period.

1. Who Is Covered

This Limited Warranty applies only to products purchased directly from Principle Faucets and extends to the original purchaser or home owner during original installation of the product and is not transferable to any subsequent owner, transferee, tenant, or other person unless approved by Principle Faucets. For products installed in a residence, the residential warranty stated below applies to the original purchaser or initial homeowner in whose residence the product is first installed, provided that such person owns and occupies the residence where the product is installed. For purposes of this Limited Warranty, a product shall be deemed to have been purchased by the original residential homeowner even if it was purchased on such person’s behalf by another party, so long as the product is first installed in that original homeowner’s residence and satisfactory proof of original purchase and installation is provided. All other purchases and uses, including without limitation purchases for model homes not yet conveyed to an owner-occupant, hospitality, commercial, institutional, multifamily rental, office, retail, showroom, or other non-owner-occupied uses, shall be deemed commercial or non-residential for purposes of this Limited Warranty.

2. Warranty Coverage and Warranty Periods

Subject to the provisions of this Limited Warranty, Principle Faucets warrants the following components for the periods stated below.

A. Mechanical ComponentsThe mechanical, non-electrical portions of the product, including without limitation the faucet body, spout, handles, valves, internal mechanical assemblies, mounting hardware, and foot pedal hardware, but excluding Wear Parts and excluding decorative finishes except as expressly stated herein, are warranted, for residential owner-occupied use, for so long as the original residential purchaser or initial homeowner owns and occupies the residence in which the product was originally installed. For commercial or non-residential use, such components are warranted for a period of five (5) years from the original date of purchase.

B. Electrical and Electromechanical ComponentsAll electrical, electronic, and powered portions of the product, including without limitation control electronics, circuit boards, sensors, switches, motors, wiring, connectors, adapters, and power supplies, are warranted, for residential owner-occupied use, for a period of five (5) years from the original date of purchase, and for commercial or non-residential use, for a period of one (1) year from the original date of purchase. For clarity, the non-electrical housing or enclosure of a control box, if any, is covered under the mechanical warranty applicable to such component, while the electrical contents of the control box are covered under this Section 2.B.

C. Wear PartsComponents that are ordinarily subject to periodic service or replacement through use, including without limitation pull-out hoses, pull-down hoses, supply hoses, cartridges, seals, O-rings, gaskets, spray heads, and similar service parts (“Wear Parts”), are warranted, for residential owner-occupied use, for a period of three (3) years from the original date of purchase, and for commercial or non-residential use, for a period of one (1) year from the original date of purchase.

D. Standard Decorative FinishesDecorative finishes designated by Principle Faucets as standard plated, PVD, painted, powder-coated, or otherwise sealed finishes are warranted against defects in finish workmanship and adhesion, under normal indoor use and proper care, for a period of five (5) years from the original date of purchase for residential owner-occupied use, and for a period of one (1) year from the original date of purchase for commercial or non-residential use. This finish warranty does not apply to water spotting, mineral buildup, abrasion, scratching, discoloration caused by water or environmental conditions, improper cleaning, or ordinary wear.

E. Living, Unlacquered, Hand-Applied, and Patina-Prone FinishesCertain finishes are intended to change in appearance over time and may naturally develop patina, tarnish, oxidation, shading variation, dulling, darkening, brightening, or other aesthetic changes as a result of ordinary handling, cleaning, use, moisture, water conditions, air exposure, and aging. Such finishes include, without limitation, living finishes, unlacquered finishes, hand-applied finishes, and finishes or coatings identified by Principle Faucets as prone to patina or natural variation (“Special Finishes”). Because such changes are inherent characteristics of Special Finishes and not defects, Special Finishes are not warranted against patina development, tarnishing, color shift, texture variation, spotting, or other changes in appearance resulting from ordinary use, environmental conditions, or age. Notwithstanding the foregoing, if a Special Finish exhibits peeling, blistering, or flaking caused solely by a defect in finish application, and not by misuse, abrasion, chemicals, environmental exposure, or water conditions, such condition shall be warranted for a period of one (1) year from the original date of purchase for residential owner-occupied use, and ninety (90) days from the original date of purchase for commercial or non-residential use.

3. Authorized Sellers; Dealer, Showroom, and Co-Brand Sales

This Limited Warranty applies only to products purchased directly from Principle Faucets or from an authorized seller, unless otherwise required by law. Products sold through authorized dealers, showrooms, distributors, trade professionals, or approved co-brand or private-label programs may be subject to a designated claim intake or customer service process. In such cases, Principle Faucets may require that the warranty claim first be submitted through the original selling party or its designated service channel. Any warranty rights available to the end user shall remain subject to the approved warranty terms applicable to that product.

This Limited Warranty does not cover any defect, damage, malfunction, or non-conformity arising out of or relating to improper installation, improper assembly, improper application, failure to follow installation or operating instructions, failure to follow care and maintenance instructions, misuse, abuse, negligence, accidental damage, vandalism, use for a purpose other than that for which the product was designed, or ordinary wear and tear. Products whose identifying labels, serial numbers, or traceability markings have been removed or altered, and products purchased from unauthorized sellers, are likewise excluded from coverage.

5. Conditions of Coverage

This Limited Warranty applies only if the product was properly installed in accordance with Principle Faucets’ instructions and all applicable plumbing, electrical, and building codes, was used under normal operating conditions and for its intended purpose, and was maintained in accordance with Principle Faucets’ care and maintenance instructions.

If Principle Faucets determines, after reasonable review, that a covered defect exists during the applicable warranty period, Principle Faucets’ sole obligation, and the warranty holder’s sole and exclusive remedy, shall be, at Principle Faucets’ option, to repair the defective product or component, replace the defective product or component with the same or a reasonably comparable product or component, or refund the original purchase price of the defective product or defective component. Any repaired or replacement product or component shall be warranted only for the remainder of the original applicable warranty period.
