MAKE YOUR LIFE EASIER
AT THE SINK

Reliable Hands-Free Control
Free your hands to work easier, quicker, and cleaner with responsive control over the water you need.

Added Accessibility
Having a pedal at the sink makes faucet operation a breeze for those who don’t have the reach or struggle with standard hand control.

Improved Hygiene
According to the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF), the kitchen is the germiest room in the home. The less you have to touch your faucet the better!

Save Water In A Whole New Way
Leaving the water running continuously is one of the largest types of indoor water-wasting behaviors according to the Water Research Foundation.
Use only the water you need and cut the waste! Saving water has never been this much fun.

A Better Way To Work At The Sink
Who doesn’t want to work faster, stay cleaner, and easily save water? You’ll wonder how you ever got by without it.

FAQs
Do I need a plumber?
The Principle kitchen faucet system was designed to be DIY-friendly. We include the supply lines and hardware needed for a typical installation, but you will need a few basic tools. You can find our step-by-step installation videos under the Support tab, then Installation, or follow the link here.
Can I install a Principle system at my sink?

-
1.5" (38mm) counter top hole.
-
3.25" (83mm) minimum toe kick height
-

I'm worried my young child will play with the pedal. Can you disable it?
No, not unless you unplug the power supply. The hand controls will still work with the power plug removed. This question does come up from time to time. Many of our customers have families with young kids, but it has never been raised as an actual issue to us or been linked to a product return. We find it is often a good opportunity to explain how the pedal helps save water and why water conservation is important.
Does the Principle system have an amazing return policy?
We offer an industry leading, 6-month no-hassle return policy. If after using the Principle system you do not absolutely love it, we will take it back and provide a refund. It is that simple!
How long does installation take?
Installation should take 60-90 minutes for your average DIY'er. A plumbing professional should be able to install the system in about an hour.

Will a plumber know how to install the Principle system?
Yes, a plumbing professional should have no problem installing the Principle system. The Principle system uses standard fittings to connect to the water supply and isn't much different than installing a faucet with an instant hot water tank or water filtration system. Detailed installation instructions are included with the product. We also offer step-by-step video instruction on our website under the Support tab, then Installation.
Can the Principle kitchen faucet & pedal system be installed other places in the home?
Yes, the Principle kitchen faucet & pedal system can be installed at any sink as long as the minimum installation requirements are met.
Will the Principle system work if the power goes out?
The foot pedal will not work while the power is out, but the standard hand lever on the faucet will be available to control water flow while the power is out.
Do I have to constantly apply pressure to the pedal to get water?
No, tap the pedal once to activate Pot Fill Mode. The water will continuously run for up to 2-minutes. This is convenient when needing to fill a pot for pasta water or to fill the sink for dishes. Tap or press on the pedal again to stop water flow or it will automatically turn off at 2-minute.
Can you use the faucet's hand controls and foot pedal at any time?
Yes, the Principle system is fully integrated with the foot pedal. This means you can use either the pedal or standard hand lever to activate water flow at any time. You do not have to switch between modes.
What is the lever on the left side of the faucet?
The lever on the left side of the faucet is a dedicated temperature control just for the foot pedal. This allows you to visually see what water flow temperature you will get and easily change it as needed depending on the task.
Once I order how long before my order ships?
We typically ship within 1-2 business days for items that are in stock. If there is an extended lead time, we will post it on the product page.
Why is a foot pedal better than a touch or sensor activated faucet?
Touch and sensor activated faucets were designed originally for washing hands. We all do a lot more at the sink than just wash hands. Our pedal systems help with all that you do at the sink. Let’s be honest here--touch and sensor faucets aren’t really hands-free if you have to touch it or wave your hands to get it to turn on and off. With a foot pedal, you can walk right up and immediately activate water, no taping or waving hands that may be dirty or occupied holding a heavy pot or pan. Additionally, with our foot pedal systems you can regulate waterflow, like a gas pedal. With touch and sensor faucets you are stuck with full flow or nothing. It has also been noted that touch and sensor faucet can waste more water than traditional faucet. We have found our system can reduce water waste by up to 44% compared to traditional faucets.
